The initiation is amethod in which an eanest seeker is intiated into a method of worship, through amantra, befitting the seeker.Guru analyses aspirant"s worth, capacity, strengh,earnestness, and decides finally to impart a mantra. Guru upadesam is not automatic but depends soley on the worth and competence of seeker. Mantra passed by Guru will be powerful and will have tremendous impact on seeker, if he really practices japa.Synchronisation of thought, deed ,mantra, guru, devatha is most important element or prerequisite to derive best result.The methods of intitaion by a Sidha are not confined to procedure we normally follow. it may be adifferent way ,method altogether.
